Day 9: Potential, Creativity and Stuff. Just not Today Folks

DISCLAIMER: THERE ISN'T ANYTHING MUCH WRITTEN IN THIS THAT YOU DON'T ALREADY KNOW. INSTEAD OF WASTING THE NEXT 15 MINS OF YOUR LIFE, JUST GO ON WITH IT. WELL IN CASE YOU WANT TO WASTE IT ANYWAY, DO NOT READ ANYTHING IN BRACKETS OR IN RED TEXT, THAT'S A BIT OUT OF CONTEXT USUALLY MY MIND OFF RAMPING. IT WILL SAVE YOU SOME TIME TO DO MORE IMPORTANT THINGS. (SOMETIMES IT'S GENUINE LINKS TO ARTICLES WITH MORE INFO SO READ AND CLICK IT).

Okay, let's get real. We all have those moments, right? Where life feels…well, kinda blah. Like a long, beige (beige is a cool colour though, maybe let's use grey) carpet stretching out endlessly in front of you. You know the feeling: that nagging sense that you're meant for more, but you're just spinning your wheels. Well that's exactly how I feel right now, it's 05:13 I've been trying to get this blog together since 03:30, I have been drafting and redrafting I'm not really getting the hang of it so I will just vent it out and post it. If you feel unmoved after reading this, luckily for me I did put up a disclaimer!

But what if I told you that within you (telling myself rather so that I can be a bit more creative than this), simmering beneath the surface, lies a powerful, creative force? Not just the ability to dream, but the actual power to create your reality. (Really?)

Think about it. God, the ultimate Creator, didn't just snap his fingers and say "Poof! Universe!" He established the rules gravity, the laws of physics, the incredible interconnectedness of life. And then, get this, after all that wonderful work, Day 6 he says "Time to Rest". Mhm...Omnipowerful why are you resting now? Are you tired? Where has all the power gone to? And no single verse in the bible states that God came out of his rest, even though John 5:17, hints a bit of something similar where Jesus says:

"My Father is always at His work to this very day, and I too am working." (NIV).

But we don't see new elements of creation popping up day after day now do we?  Mhm...yes we do. Think about it, fire, electricity, sliced bread and now the scary one ai.

But wait, is it God creating all of that? (Or is it the new creators right after God, the little creators...the humans?). A better question is it me writing this article? (Or the new creators right after humans, humanity's greatest enemy, ready to take over the world...Ai? (Laughs mystically).

That's right, us! Humanity, in all our messy, magnificent glory, we have been tasked with continuing the creative process. We're the ones who translate those divine principles into breathtaking symphonies, groundbreaking inventions, and even that killer sourdough bread recipe that everyone raves about. (I don't know what's the obsession with bread today, maybe I'm hungry that's why my creative senses are off).

From Cave Paintings to AI

Look at how far we've come! From the awe-inspiring cave paintings of our ancestors to the mind-bending world of artificial intelligence, we've constantly pushed the boundaries of what's possible.  It's like there's this feeling in great contrast to the feeling in the intro there. This one a feeling of hunger and feeling like there's more to life than just the grey carpet. (or the lousy job or degree that you know very well won't guarantee you a job let, alone a lousy one.) That is what I would like to call "Divine Potential". (A piece of God)

Imagine Leonardo da Vinci, not just a painter, but an inventor, an anatomist, a true Renaissance man. He wasn't content to just admire the world; he had to dissect it, understand it, and then use that knowledge to create flying machines and intricate anatomical drawings. What? Or consider Marie Curie, a woman who dared to venture into the unknown, defying societal expectations to unlock the secrets of radioactivity.

Or myself wondering what came first between sliced bread and electricity. History is filled with many great examples like this and even more the future. (This is an invitation for you to participate in the future history of these examples, right after you quit your lousy job though or change your degree. Jokes. Is it?)

Unleashing Your Inner Creator

Okay on a serious note here's the thing: this creative spark isn't reserved for geniuses or celebrities. It's within all of us, waiting to be ignited. Maybe it's the yearning to write a novel, to learn a new language, to start a business, or quit your job (I mean to start loving your job and becoming more productive and creative , because if you quit your job you will starve. Get it from me I'm unemployed. Not that I'm starving starving like forever starving but right now I'm starving I could use some sliced bread thanks Rohwedder!) or simply to find a more fulfilling way to spend your time.

Now, here's the catch:

  • Don't let fear hold you back. Marianne Williamson said it best: "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure."
  • Embrace the mess. Creativity isn't always a linear path. There will be dead ends, (I think I'm at a dead end today but okay!) frustrations, and moments when you feel like giving up (or eating bread). But that's okay. Those "failures" are often stepping stones to something even greater. YES!
  • Start small, but start now. Don't wait for the perfect moment. That moment is now. In fact now is perfect. Write that first sentence, (I know I did and look at where we are now !) take that first dance class, (quit that job) plant that first seed. Consistent action, even in small doses, can lead to extraordinary results. Like this extraordinary blog article. It's starting to sound less like Ai and more human, I guess they won't be taking over the world after all, at least not now. PHEW!

The world is waiting to see what you create. So, yea create. The simplest thing you can create today? A basic schedule of your tomorrow's day. (Voila! you are a creator)  Here is an example of mine;

Friday Schedule:
03:30 - Wake UP (Do a couple of traditional rituals and a cup of coffee)
04:00 - Blog
23:30 - Sleep (After watching 8 episodes of The Equalizer)

The world needs your unique perspective, your unique voice. Go forth and make some magic!

Because This Is What We do Now!

I will add them next week Monday, right now I need to satisfy this hunger (not some motivated hunger to do great things, just 2 slices of bread 1 with butter the other with jam, oh and definitely another cup of coffee).

It's a standard board, 8x8 squares, 64 in total. Now, you decide to play a little game. On the first square, you place one grain of rice. On the second square, you double it and place two grains. On the third square, you double it again, placing four grains, and so on. At first, it seems like nothing impressive.  By the 10th square, you've got like what 512 grains? Meh...still manageable. By the 20th square? You're at 524,288 grains, okay...And by the time you hit the 64th squa...

Day 29: You are not a Victim

Have you ever felt like life has some personal vendetta against you? Like maybe you wake up feeling motivated for once, ready to conquer the world, and then, boom! your phone dies, your car won’t start, and your mom decides today is the perfect day to remind you that you’re wasting your potential? Suddenly, you're convinced that the universe is just a big bully and you’re the helpless kid it keeps pushing into the mud. Well… I hate to be the one to tell you this, but you are not the victim. I know, I know. It ...
