I sat at the edge of my bed for a moment, letting the weight of those six words settle in. This is what we do now. Simple, but heavy. It’s like my body still wanted to negotiate, asking for five more minutes, but my mind was already in motion, like a stubborn coach pushing me to lace up my sneakers and hit the track.
You know, it’s funny how the hardest part of the day is often just that first step. Not the meetings, not the tasks, not even the unexpected challenges no, just peeling yourself off that warm, comfy mattress and deciding, Alright, let’s do this.
But here’s the thing: I’ve learned that the small victories are what set the tone. Getting out of bed when you don’t feel like it? That’s a win. I didn’t roll over, I didn’t scroll endlessly on my phone. I made a decision, and I moved.
By the time I got to my desk, the resistance started to fade. The battle wasn’t as loud anymore. I opened my macbook, stretched my fingers, and let the words start to flow. One thought after another, like they’d been patiently waiting in line for me to wake up and pay attention.
That’s the magic of showing up, isn’t it? The moment you take action, even the smallest one, you’re telling the universe, I’m here, I’m ready. And when you do that, things start to fall into place.
Now, don’t get me wrong alright it’s not like I’m suddenly bursting with endless energy. The coffee is still brewing, and I know I’ll need it. But there’s something deeply satisfying about beating that little voice in your head that whispers, Stay in bed, it’s warm here.
So, here I am. Up, writing, and fully committed to making this day count. Let’s see what kind of magic we can create today. After all, this is what we do now.
