Day 18: Law of Attraction

DISCLAIMER: THERE ISN'T ANYTHING MUCH WRITTEN IN THIS THAT YOU DON'T ALREADY KNOW. INSTEAD OF WASTING THE NEXT 15 MINS OF YOUR LIFE, JUST GO ON WITH IT. WELL IN CASE YOU WANT TO WASTE IT ANYWAY, DO NOT READ ANYTHING IN BRACKETS OR IN RED TEXT, THAT'S A BIT OUT OF CONTEXT USUALLY MY MIND OFF RAMPING. IT WILL SAVE YOU SOME TIME TO DO MORE IMPORTANT THINGS. (SOMETIMES IT'S GENUINE LINKS TO ARTICLES WITH MORE INFO SO READ AND CLICK IT).

The Law of Attraction: The Universe Delivers When You’re Ready

“To get what you want, you have to deserve what you want. The world is not yet a crazy enough place to reward a whole bunch of undeserving people.” ― Charles T. Munger. Harsh? Maybe. True? Absolutely. The universe isn’t some wish-granting factory handing out prizes to whoever asks the loudest. (No like seriously imagine someone spending the whole day on the couch playing video games and chowing all the fast food they can get their hands on faster than they make it then they wish for a nice lean body then boom nice lean body).

The universe is a mirror, reflecting back exactly what you’re ready for. Success, love, opportunity, they don’t just land in your lap. They arrive when you’ve become the kind of person who can hold onto them. So the real question isn’t why haven’t you gotten what you want? Instead it’s have you become the person who deserves it?

What You Seek is Seeking You

A long time ago (okay, not that long ago), Napoleon Hill wrote Think and Grow Rich, where he essentially said, “Hey, your thoughts are not just random noise; they’re shaping your reality.” Centuries before him, King Solomon had already pointed it out directly:

“As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.” – Proverbs 23:7

And if we want to get a little scientific, quantum physics tells us that our observations influence reality. (Don’t worry, I won’t turn this into a physics lecture. I barely survived high school physics myself.)

The point? What you focus on grows. What you believe to be possible becomes your reality. Not because of some mystical genie in the sky, but because your brain, actions, and environment start aligning with your dominant thoughts.

The Universe is Not Amazon Prime

Here’s where people get it wrong: The Law of Attraction is not about wishful thinking. You can’t just sit on your couch binge-watching Netflix and expect a six-pack to manifest (trust me, I tried). The universe doesn’t work like Amazon Prime where you place an order and expect delivery in two business days. Actually picture it more like a poor e-commerce store where what you order is typically delivered in 90 working days. (you are putting in the work).

It’s more like farming. You plant the seed, nurture it, weed out the negativity, and trust that the harvest will come when it’s ready. If you’re attracting the same toxic relationships, bad jobs, or financial struggles, the hard truth is: You might be the common denominator. (Yep, the one you never bothered to understand in high school!)

Who You Are Determines What You Attract

Ever notice how successful people just keep succeeding? Or how someone who constantly complains about bad luck just keeps getting hit with misfortune? Very unfair right? Not really.

Jim Rohn said, “Success is something you attract by the person you become.” You don’t attract wealth by wanting it; you attract it by becoming the kind of person who naturally aligns with wealth. The disciplined one. The prepared one. The one who doesn’t self-sabotage the second they see a glimpse of success.

Want love? Be lovable. Want respect? Respect yourself first, respect others. Want a thriving business? Become the kind of person who can handle success without crumbling under pressure. (Tough love, but it’s still love.)

The Stories We Tell Ourselves

Henry Ford once said, “Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t, you’re right.” I was talking to a friend the other day about the law of attraction and the thought actually occurred to me that one has to 'literally' be delusional an irrationalise (tell themselves irrational lies) in order to actually attract and achieve.

Thomas Edison failed 10,000 times before he successfully invented the lightbulb. Imagine if he had said, “Eh, maybe I’m just not meant for this inventing thing.” Result: No electricity, no late-night TikTok scrolling, no midnight snacks, no Netflix and Chill. A world without light. Tragic!

The difference between people who make it and people who don’t? The stories they tell themselves. One sees failure as rejection. The other sees it as redirection.(Mhm) One sees obstacles as roadblocks. The other sees them as stepping stones.

Small Shifts, Big Results

The Law of Attraction isn’t about magic. It’s about alignment. It’s about shifting from “I hope this happens” to “I am becoming the person who makes this happen.”

Try this:

  • Instead of thinking, I want to be rich, start thinking, I am learning the habits that build wealth.

  • Instead of I want to find love, think, I am becoming someone who radiates love and connection.

  • Instead of I hope I succeed, think, I am putting in the work daily to make success inevitable.

See the difference? One keeps you stuck in wishful thinking. The other turns you into the magnet for everything you desire.

Take Away (Big Mac and Large Chips)
Become the version of yourself who is ready to receive what you’re asking for. Because This is What We Do NOW.

Day 86: Branding

Let's talk about something that's often misunderstood. When I say "branding," what pops into your head? Probably corporations with their fancy logos, catchy slogans, and those adverts that somehow know exactly when you're most vulnerable to buying another appliance you don't need. But here's the thing... branding isn't just for businesses trying to sell you overpriced coffee in minimalist cups. It's actually something far more personal and potentially transformative than we give it credit for. What Even Is Personal Branding Anyway? Think about the first human "brand" if you will. Back in Genesis, God essentially gave Adam a personal brand: "caretaker of Eden." Simple job description, decent benefits package, minimal dress code. One rule to follow. And then... well, we know how that ended up. The serpent came along and essentially offered a "brand upgrade", "You will be like God, knowing good and evil" (Ge...

Day 77: Add Value

We've all heard some version of it, haven't we? "You reap what you sow." "Give and you shall receive." Those timeless principles packaged and repackaged across centuries, religions, and TED talks all essentially saying the same bloody thing: value out follows value in. But let's be honest, shall we? In our swipe-right, instant-gratification culture, the patience required for genuine value creation feels almost... quaint. The Great Value Misconception (Or Why Everyone's Waiting for Their Ship That Never Bloody Sails) I was reminded of that brilliant exchange from "The Wolf of Wall Street" between Matthew McConaughey and Leonardo DiCaprio: Mark Hanna: "You know what a fugazi is?" Jordan Belfort: "Fugazi... it's a fake." Mark Hanna: "Fugazi, fugazi. It's a whazy. It's a woozie. It's fairy dust." That's what most people's understanding of "adding value" is fairy dust. They bel...

Day 71: When Life Gives You Lemons

We've all heard it, haven't we? That saccharine platitude: "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade." It's slapped onto mugs, embroidered onto pillows, and plastered across Instagram feeds by people who've likely never faced a proper lemon-level catastrophe in their lives. I was reminded of an exchange fictional, but bloody brilliant between Roderick Usher and C. Auguste Dupin in the series fall of the house of Usher: Roderick Usher: "When life hands you lemons..." C. Auguste Dupin: "Make lemonade?" Roderick Usher: "No. First you roll out a multi-media campaign to convince people lemons are incredibly scarce, which only works if you stockpile lemons, control the supply, then a media blitz. Lemon is the only way to say 'I love you,' the must-have accessory for engagements or anniversaries. Roses are out, lemons are in. Billboards that say she won't have sex with you unless you got lemons. You cut De Beers in on it. ...
